Q. Are Pets Allowed?
A. We do not allow pets. If you are going to explore the area, you will find a pet to be a hardship, as the public parking areas associated with a lot of the attractions do not offer shady areas for animals. Additionally, many of our guests are allergic to animals, and we wish to offer them an allergen free environment as well. For these reasons, pets are not permitted.
Q. Are Motorboats Or Jet Skis Allowed?
A. Due to the size of the body of water, personal watercraft such as kayaks, canoes, rowboats and boats with trolling motors are allowed. Larger craft and Jet Skis are prohibited, as they will interfere with the wildlife and people's enjoyment of the tranquil pond.
Q. Do I Need A License To Fish?
A. Yes! Anyone ages 16 and over needs a license to fish in the state of Vermont. Heavy fines are charged for those fishing without one, and the game wardens do patrol the bodies of water. Please see our link to purchase a license in our "Of Interest" section.
Q. How Many People Will The Camp Accommodate?
A. The camp will comfortably accommodate from two to six people. The rental rate will vary, and is determined by the number of guests.
Q. How Come I Can't Find Directions To The Camp Online?
A. For privacy reasons, we will provide our guests with a detailed map and directions to the camp only after the rental reservation has been confirmed. This information will be emailed directly to the renter upon deposit and confirmation.
Q. What Is The Weather Like?
A. The weather is cool at night - you are in the mountains, after all! If it rains during your stay with us, we provide an excellent library of brochures of current events and places to visit while you are here. You may also see our "Of Interest" page, which will link to many of them.
Q. How Do I Dispose Of My Household Trash?
A. Please bring trash bags, and plan on disposing of your trash prior to departure. There will be directions to the local dump/recycling center found at the camp. Please do not leave your trash for us or the next guest to clean up!
